While the emergence of the use of artificial intelligence (AI) has created a great deal of excitement in teaching and learning, there are still many questions about the short, medium and long-term impact and implications. What is AI’s true potential in improving and value-adding to learning in higher education? How will the need for data-scale impact the structure in the sector? Which data governance structures can protect students while still leveraging the embedded intelligence?

Through a panel discussion comprising of experts from academia and industry, this session aims to pinpoint potential benefits and challenges of AI adoption in higher education and to suggest an AI value-creation roadmap for universities and university networks.
