Synopsis:
The theme of this session is one that looks at two things:
What the notion of blended learning might mean in the future, especially with the rise of Augmented and Virtual Reality. In what kinds of spaces will higher education learning occur? How have our notions of blended learning developed in the last twenty years?
What does blended learning mean in terms of institutional practice? The development of blended learning requires the blending of various forms of expertise: academic content expertise, learning design expertise, technological expertise and pedagogical expertise. This requires teamwork. How do IHLs in Singapore foster the kind of teamwork necessary for the creation of blended learning?
There is an emphasis in this session on how IHLs conceptualise blended learning and its future, and how they form teams of experts to support blended learning.
