Synopsis:
“As leaders, it is incumbent on all of us to make sure we are building a world in which every individual has an opportunity to thrive. Understanding what AI can do and how it fits into your strategy is the beginning, not the end, of that process” ~ Andrew Ng
While the emergence of the use of artificial intelligence (AI) has created a great deal of excitement in teaching and learning, there are still many questions about the short, medium and long-term impact and implications. What is AI’s true potential in improving and value-adding to learning in higher education? How will the need for data-scale impact the structure in the sector? Which data governance structures can protect students while still leveraging the embedded intelligence?
Through a panel discussion comprising of experts from academia and industry, this session aims to pinpoint potential benefits and challenges of AI adoption in higher education and to suggest an AI value-creation roadmap for universities and university networks.
